Job summary

Cover Whale Insurance Solutions is seeking a Business Development Associate for the North East region, working remotely within the United States. You will manage both existing and new partners, helping them integrate, engage, and grow while delivering key insights during quarterly reviews.

In this full-time role, you will collaborate with underwriting, marketing, and growth teams to execute distribution strategies, monitor KPIs, and ensure partner value.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the insurance and/or commercial trucking field is required.
• Strong video and phone skills, maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Experience in onboarding and guiding new customers to realize and repeat value.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with underwriting, marketing, and growth teams to develop distribution strategies and generate partner premium.
• Manage a portfolio of emerging and lower-volume partners, building relationships and driving performance.
• Provide pipeline support by researching target markets, prospective partners, and competitive intelligence.
• Identify opportunities to engage and grow relationships with existing partners.
• Establish, track, and report on KPIs while meeting or exceeding goals.
• Support improvement of business development, partner management, and onboarding processes.
• Represent Cover Whale positively among partners and prospects through outreach.
• Assist with logistics for retail-focused engagements and regional events.
