Cover Whale is seeking a Business Development Associate to expand and manage a portfolio of regional partners in the North East. This fully remote position focuses on onboarding, engagement, and growth, with regular insights shared during quarterly reviews and performance reporting.

The role requires 3+ years in insurance or commercial trucking, strong communication across channels, and the ability to drive value for new and existing partners. Travel is occasional within the Northeast.

Competenze

• At least 3 years of experience in the insurance and/or commercial trucking field.
• Strong video and phone skills, maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Experience in onboarding and guiding new customers to realize and repeat value.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for technical and business topics.
• Experience with disciplined execution of challenging opportunities that lead to results.
• Mastery of multi-channel outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn, in-person).
• Ability to run effective discovery meetings and secure next steps.
• Experience moving prospects from first touch to bind.

Mansioni

• Collaborate with underwriting, marketing, and growth teams to develop distribution strategies and generate partner premium.
• Manage a portfolio of emerging and lower-volume partners, building relationships and driving performance.
• Provide pipeline support by researching target markets, prospective partners, and competitive intelligence.
• Identify and execute opportunities to grow relationships with existing partners.
• Establish, track, and report on KPIs while meeting or exceeding goals.
• Support improvement of business development, partner management, and onboarding processes.
• Represent Cover Whale positively among partners through proactive outreach.
• Support event and field presence in the North East region, including logistics for retail engagements.
• Monitor partner performance and trends, escalating opportunities and risks.
• Maintain partner data in HubSpot with notes and performance data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
