Job summary

Cover Whale Insurance Solutions is seeking a Business Development Associate to manage partners and drive growth across our expanding portfolio. You will nurture relationships, analyze performance, and craft strategies for onboarding and engagement.

This fully remote role requires 3+ years in insurance or trucking field, strong communication, and proficiency with data tools. Travel within the North East region (10–15%) is expected, with standard business hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the insurance and/or commercial trucking field.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Experience in onboarding and guiding new customers to realize and repeat value.
• Strong video and phone skills with professionalism under pressure.
• Mastery of multi-channel outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn) with repeatable cadences.
• Experience using Metabase or similar software to pull, review, and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of emerging and lower-volume partners, building relationships and growth opportunities.
• Provide pipeline support by researching target markets, prospective partners, and competitive intelligence.
• Establish, track, and report on KPIs while consistently meeting or exceeding goals.
• Support onboarding and engagement processes for new partners.
• Represent Cover Whale positively among current trading partners and prospects through proactive outreach.
• Coordinate regional events and logistics for retail-focused engagements.
• Monitor partner performance and identify risks and opportunities.
• Maintain accurate partner data in HubSpot with interactions, notes, and performance data.
