Job summary

Cover Whale Insurance Solutions seeks a Business Development Associate to manage a portfolio of emerging partners, oversee onboarding, engagement, and growth, and develop strategies for these groups. The role includes providing insights into portfolio performance during quarterly reviews.

This is a fully remote role with travel in the North East region and a focus on building relationships and driving partner value through proactive outreach and data-informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in insurance and/or commercial trucking.
• Proficient video and phone communication under pressure.
• Experience onboarding and guiding new customers to value.
• Excellent interpersonal skills bridging technical and business topics.
• Proficient multi-channel outreach using cadences.
• Experience with Metabase or similar data tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio of emerging and lower-volume partners and drive growth.
• Research target markets, prospective partners and competitive intelligence.
• Track KPIs and report progress towards goals.
• Improve onboarding processes and partner management.
• Represent Cover Whale with partners and prospects.
• Support regional events and logistics for retail engagements.
• Monitor partner performance and identify risks and opportunities.
• Maintain partner data in HubSpot with interactions and performance.
