Job summary

Cover Whale Insurance Solutions is seeking a Business Development Associate for a fully remote role serving the North East region (PA, NJ, VA, MD, NY, or CT). You will manage a portfolio of partners, develop distribution strategies, and drive growth while coordinating with underwriting, marketing, and growth teams.

The role requires at least 3 years in insurance or commercial trucking, strong communication, and multi-channel outreach abilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the insurance and/or commercial trucking field.
• Experience with onboarding and guiding new customers to realize and repeat value.
• Mastery of multi-channel outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn, and in-person).
• Experience moving prospects from first touch to bind.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with underwriting, marketing, and growth teams to develop and execute distribution strategies and generate partner premium.
• Manage a portfolio of emerging and lower-volume partners, building relationships and driving performance.
• Provide pipeline support by researching target markets and competitive intelligence.
• Establish, track, and report on KPIs and meet/exceed goals.
• Support onboarding processes and partner management improvements.
• Represent Cover Whale positively with partners and prospects through proactive outreach.
