Jones Stephens is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales growth in the plumbing and mechanical industry by building strong relationships with wholesalers, contractors, and builders. This remote role covers Phoenix, Tucson, Tempe, Gilbert and nearby markets.

You will develop strategic sales plans, deliver product training, manage key accounts, travel 50–75% within the territory, and use CRM tools to forecast and report to leadership. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in field sales or business development in construction.
• Experience selling building products, plumbing/HVAC is desirable.
• Strong relationships with contractors and builders.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Willing to travel 50–75% within territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth and market share within the assigned region.
• Cultivate strong relationships with distributors, contractors, builders, and end-users.
• Stay informed on market dynamics, competitor activities, and emerging customer needs within the territory.
• Work closely with distribution partners and dealers to improve product visibility, availability, and promotional activities.
• Consistently meet or exceed sales targets, margin goals, and performance KPIs; maintain updated sales pipeline and provide forecasts using CRM.
