Job summary

eShepherd, Gallagher’s breakthrough virtual fencing venture, is expanding in the US and seeking an experienced Business Development Manager who can turn relationships into growth. This senior, remote role focuses on ranchers, producers and partners, owning the sales journey from first contact to close in a region with travel.

Base salary is $105,000–$120,000 with a 20% annual bonus. You will shape the market, build a strong pipeline, and collaborate with Product and Marketing to scale eShepherd

Qualifications

• Proven business development or key account experience in a solution-selling environment.
• Ability to identify prospects and convert opportunities into closed sales.
• Experience with ranchers and/or agriculture.
• Knowledge of AgTech solutions.
• Interest or understanding of beef cattle and grazing management.
• Strong commercial judgment, communication and negotiation skills.
• Self-driven with ability to manage multiple opportunities.
• Experience in high-growth or scale-up environments.
• Ability to think strategically and translate into action.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow a quality pipeline across your market with opportunities from prospecting to close.
• Identify opportunities and strategically target new business with ranchers, producers and partners.
• Maintain CRM discipline, pipeline visibility and accurate sales forecasting.
• Lead or support key account opportunities, tenders, contracts and distribution agreements.
• Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure smooth handoff from sale to onboarding.
• Gather market intelligence, pricing insights and competitive activity for Sales, Product and Marketing.
• Represent eShepherd and Gallagher through industry relationships and speaking engagements.
