Job summary

Gallagher’s eShepherd is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive US Great Plains growth. Based remotely, you’ll identify opportunities, engage ranchers, and position our digital fencing solutions to meet commercial needs.

This senior, hands-on role requires prospecting, negotiations, and close, while collaborating with Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing account success.

Qualifications

• Proven BD or key account experience in a solution-selling environment.
• Ability to identify prospects and convert opportunities into closed sales.
• Experience working with ranchers or agriculture.
• Knowledge of AgTech solutions.
• Interest in beef cattle and grazing management.
• Strong commercial judgement, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and maintain momentum.

Responsibilities

• Identify and strategically target new business opportunities.
• Take ownership of the sales journey from prospecting through to proposal, negotiation and close.
• Build trusted relationships with ranchers, producers, partners, distributors and industry stakeholders.
• Understand how individual ranching operations work and position eShepherd around their commercial and operational needs.
• Develop opportunities through networking, prospecting, industry engagement and strong follow-up.
• Lead or support key account opportunities, tenders, contracts and distribution agreements.
• Maintain strong CRM discipline, pipeline visibility and accurate sales forecasting.
• Work closely with Customer Success to support a seamless transition from sale to onboarding and ongoing customer success.
• Bring market intelligence, customer feedback, pricing insights and competitor activity back into Sales, Product and Marketing.
• Help build the eShepherd and Gallagher brands through industry relationships, partnerships and speaking opportunities.
