Job summary

Motorola Solutions' Silvus Technologies unit seeks a Business Development Engineer, USSOCOM, to bridge RF technology with special operations requirements. You will support field trials, demos, and SOCOM engagements, traveling up to 50% to customer sites and labs.

Ideal candidates have a 2–5 year background in systems engineering or defense technology, a U.S. security clearance, and the ability to work in a remote team; U.S. citizenship is required for government contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizenship required for clients under government contracts.
• 2–5 years in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense tech roles.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and operational needs.
• Support field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate to verify solution architectures are technically sound.
• Align with Business Development to meet strategic priorities.
• Develop technical demos for USSOCOM and component commands.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses.
• Conduct market research for partner integrations.
• Gather feedback to translate needs into product roadmap inputs.
• Travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs.
