Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking a Business Development Engineer for USSOCOM to bridge RF tech with customer requirements. You’ll support field trials, architecture validation, and demonstrations across low-signature, tactical edge networks.

The position involves up to 50% travel to customer sites and labs, with a 100% remote option depending on location. A SECRET clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing USSOCOM capability gaps and operational needs, mapping to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and field trials.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Business Development to verify architectures are sound.
