Job summary

Velora is a remote-first company seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper to join our Professional Services team. You will manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple Medium customers, perform reconciliations and payroll, and utilize AI-native tools to increase speed and accuracy.

You will build trust with clients, maintain financial controls, and contribute to a high-net-promoter-score while working autonomously across North America.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years owning full-charge bookkeeping end-to-end.
• Degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• Deep experience in Aplos or similar systems; learns new workflows quickly.
• Strong Excel skills; uses templates, automation, and AI support.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle of bookkeeping for multiple Medium customers concurrently.
• Use AI-native tools to streamline workflows and improve accuracy.
• Maintain an average of 70% billable time.
• Understand client needs and propose solutions for clearer information.
• Maintain a high customer net promoter score (9 or 10).
• Adhere to processes to ensure robust financial controls.
• Identify areas for process improvement and share best practices.
