Velora is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Bookkeeper to manage full‑cycle bookkeeping for multiple Medium customers. You’ll handle data entry, reconciliations, payroll and donations, using AI-native tools to accelerate workflows while maintaining high accuracy.

Expect ~70% billable time, strong communication, proactive issue spotting, and adherence to robust financial controls. You’ll work autonomously within a remote‑first, North American team and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years owning full-charge bookkeeping end-to-end.
• Degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• Strong fundamentals in nonprofit bookkeeping; keep books clean and compliant.
• Deep experience in Aplos or similar systems; learns new workflows quickly.
• Strong Excel skills; uses templates, automation and AI support.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle of bookkeeping for multiple Medium customers concurrently.
• Use AI-native tools to streamline workflows and deliver faster, more accurate results.
• Maintain an average of 70% of working time on billable client work.
• Understand organizational needs and provide feedback to clarify information.
• Maintain a high customer net promoter score by proactive communication and quality service.
• Adhere to established processes to ensure robust financial controls.
• Identify areas for process improvement and share knowledge with teammates.
