Job summary

Velora is hiring a Bookkeeper to join our fast-growing Professional Services department. You will serve as a full-charge bookkeeper for moderate complex Medium customers, ensuring accurate records and exceptional customer experience.

You will own problems end-to-end, work with AI tools to move faster, and prioritize accuracy and confidentiality. You will collaborate with the team to maintain financial controls, streamline workflows, and deliver high-quality service while staying outcome-focused

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years owning full-charge bookkeeping end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• Degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• Strong nonprofit bookkeeping fundamentals; keeps books clean and compliant.
• Experience with Aplos or similar systems; learns new workflows quickly.
• Advanced Excel skills; uses automation and AI to move faster without sacrificing accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle of bookkeeping for multiple Medium customers concurrently.
• Use AI-native tools to streamline workflows and deliver faster, more accurate results.
• Maintain an average of 70% of working time spent on billable client work.
• Provide feedback to improve information clarity and organizational understanding.
• Maintain a high customer net promoter score (9 or 10) through proactive communication and quality service.
• Adhere to processes to ensure robust financial controls.
• Identify process improvements and share knowledge with teammates.
