Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Reconciliation Specialist to support our billing teams by reconciling therapy session reimbursements and posting payments across multiple billing platforms. You will verify EOBs/ERAs, enroll ERAs, and collaborate with CBA and AR teams to improve accuracy and timelines.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of payment posting experience.
• ABA experience is preferred.
• Experience using insurance company portals/websites.
• Willing to learn; positive attitude and loves a challenge.
• Excellent phone, written and verbal communication with internal teams and insurers.
• Attention to detail and critical thinking are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HIPAA-confidential handling of all client data.
• Reconcile payments posted from the clearinghouse.
• Post manual payments in billing platforms (Rethink, Kareo, Azalea).
• Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs.
• Post payments from insurance portals and enroll ERAs when applicable.
• Monitor enrollment progress and communicate trends to AR teams.
• Identify underpayments/overpayments and coordinate resolutions.
• Track key performance metrics and improve processes.
• Review payor contracts when applicable.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and handle special projects.
