Job summary

RethinkFirst is hiring a Reconciliation Specialist to support our billing teams by reconciling therapy session reimbursements and posting payments in multiple billing systems. You will ensure accurate accounts receivable and HIPAA-compliant handling of client data.

The role involves posting electronic and manual payments, reviewing EOBs/ERAs, enrolling ERAs, and coordinating with CBA and AR teams. Strong attention to detail and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years payment posting experience.
• ABA experience.
• Experience using insurance portals.
• Experience with billing software and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HIPAA confidentiality with all client data.
• Reconcile payments posted from the clearinghouse.
• Post manual payments in all billing platforms (Rethink, Kareo, Azalea).
• Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs.
• Post payments from insurance portals.
• Enroll in ERAs to reduce manual posting and monitor enrollment progress.
• Communicate trends to AR teams for client improvements.
• Identify underpayments/overpayments and coordinate resolutions.
• Measure and monitor key performance metrics.
• Review payor contracts when applicable.
• Foster a positive work environment; participate in special projects.
