Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Reconciliation Specialist to support our billing teams by ensuring accurate reimbursement for therapy sessions and posting payments in customer billing systems. This role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, attention to detail, and collaboration with insurers and internal teams.

You will work with multiple billing platforms and ERAs, reviewing EOBs/ERAs, enrolling ERAs, and monitoring AR metrics to maintain clean accounts receivable.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1–2 years payment posting experience.
• ABA experience.
• Experience using insurance company portals.
• Professional phone skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication with internal teams and insurers.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile payments posted electronically from the clearinghouse.
• Post manual payments in all billing platforms (Rethink, Tebra, Azalea).
• Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs.
• Post payments from insurance portals.
• Enroll in ERAs to reduce manual posting and monitor enrollment requests.
• Communicate trends to the Billing Advocate and AR Team for client updates.
• Identify underpayments/overpayments and coordinate resolution.
• Monitor key performance metrics.
