Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Reconciliation Specialist to support our billing teams by reconciling therapy session payments and posting payments across billing platforms (Rethink, Tebra, Azalea). You will work with insurance companies, review EOBs/ERAs, enroll in ERAs, and monitor accounts receivable while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality and clear communication with the AR team.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Minimum 1–2 years payment posting experience.
• ABA experience is preferred.
• Experience using insurance company websites/portals.
• Willing to learn, positive attitude and loves a good challenge.
• Professional phone skills and excellent communication with internal teams and insurers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HIPAA-compliant confidentiality with all client data.
• Reconcile payments posted electronically from the clearinghouse.
• Post manual payments in billing platforms (Rethink, Tebra, Azalea).
• Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs.
• Post payments from insurance portals.
• Enroll in ERAs to reduce manual posting and monitor enrollment progress.
• Communicate trends identified to the AR team for client purposes.
• Identify underpayments/overpayments and coordinate resolution across teams.
• Measure and monitor key performance metrics related to work performance.
• Review and interpret payor contracts when applicable.
