Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Benefit Specialist for a fully remote role based out of Morrisville, NC. The position emphasizes helping patients access complex medications through benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and financial assistance resources.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and empathy as you support patients through the medication access process. Pay ranges and benefits align with contract expectations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of patient services, healthcare support, or call center experience.
• Previous HUB or Patient Services experience preferred.
• Experience with insurance verification, benefit investigations, and prior authorizations.
• Experience speaking with patients, specialty pharmacies, and insurance plans/payers.
• Outbound calling experience.
• Work-from-home experience with a secure workspace and reliable internet.
• Experience with call monitoring, QA reviews, and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound calls to obtain missing or unclear benefit information.
• Perform insurance and benefit investigations.
• Handle inbound patient calls regarding application status and missing documentation.
• Document findings and prepare summaries for providers.
• Maintain accurate case notes in the Lynk system.
• Assist patients with insurance coverage and financial assistance programs.
