Job summary

Elevance Health is hiring a Behavioral Health/EAP Consultant I for a virtual, full-time role with required in-person training sessions. You will support members by phone or on-site, delivering crisis intervention and helping them access behavioral health benefits.

The role requires a HS diploma plus 3 years of psychiatric/substance abuse experience and an active license (LPC/LCSW/LMFT/LMHC). Bilingual Spanish is a plus and may be preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of direct psychiatric and/or substance abuse experience.
• Current unrestricted license such as LPC/LCSW/LMFT/LMHC in applicable state(s) required.
• MA/MS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to initial customer contacts and requests for services; assess situation and determine course of action.
• Provide telephone and/or on-site crisis intervention, assessment, short-term problem resolution and referral.
• Manage Critical Incident Stress Debriefing requests.
• Assess members and assist them in accessing behavioral healthcare benefits under their health plan.
• Manage shared mailbox for client and external vendor communications and documentation.
