Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Behavioral Health/EAP Consultant I to deliver 24/7 services for up to 10 million lives, with a virtual, full-time schedule and occasional in-person trainings. Primary duties include crisis support, member benefit access, and incident debriefings, with a focus on compassionate, compliant care.

Minimum requirements include a HS diploma and 3 years of relevant mental health experience, plus licensure. MA/MS preferred; bilingual Spanish is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Requires a HS diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of direct psychiatric and/or substance abuse experience; or any combination of education and experience providing equivalent background.
• Current unrestricted license such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or Licensed Professional Counselor in applicable state(s) required.
• MA/MS degree preferred for advanced clinical practice.
• Inpatient/outpatient behavioral health experience is preferred.
• Previous call center experience is nice to have.
• Bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports EAP service department by responding to initial customer contacts and requests for services; assesses situation and determines appropriate action.
• Provides telephone and/or on-site support for crisis intervention and short-term problem resolution.
• Manages Critical Incident Stress Debriefing requests.
• Assesses members and assists them in accessing behavioral health benefits under their plan.
• Manages shared mailbox used by clients and external vendor for information review and documentation.
