Elevance Health, Inc. is seeking a Crisis & Referral Specialist (Nevada) to support individuals in crisis, perform safety screenings, and coordinate service linkages.

This remote role requires communication with diverse stakeholders and strict adherence to regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities include documenting interactions, developing action plans with callers, and ensuring follow-up to improve access to behavioral health services.

Qualifications

• Requires a HS diploma or the equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of experience in behavioral health or a minimum of 6 months of direct crisis experience.
• BS/BA degree in a mental health or other human services field strongly preferred; two years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes inbound calls from individuals needing support, services, or who may be in crisis.
• Performs safety screenings and assessments to discern risk to the safety of the individual or others.
• Uses information from caller and screenings to understand needs and develop an action plan with the individual.
• Documents interactions timely and accurately.
• Provides linkage follow-up to ensure access to services.
• Coordinates with agencies and resources to optimize service use.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulations.
