Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Crisis & Referral Specialist in Nevada to screen, assess, train, and provide telephonic intervention and de-escalation for helpline callers using established protocols.

The role includes safety screenings, adherence to HIPAA/OSHA and related regulations, and collaboration with care teams. A BS/BA in mental health or human services and two years of relevant experience are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in mental health or human services field preferred
• Two years of direct experience with individuals in need of behavioral health services preferred
• Screening and assessment of risk and safety
• Telephonic intervention and de-escalation abilities

Responsibilities

• Screen, assess, train, and provide telephonic intervention/de-escalation for helpline callers using established protocols
• Perform safety screenings and assessments to discern risk levels
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA and applicable regulations
• Coordinate with teams to support crisis intervention planning
