Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Crisis & Referral Specialist for Nevada. This is a virtual, full-time role with required in-person training sessions. Alternate locations may be considered for commuting distance.

You will screen and assess callers, provide telephonic intervention and de-escalation, and ensure safety while complying with HIPAA and related regulations.

A BS/BA in mental health or human services and two years of direct behavioral health experience are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in a mental health or other human services field; two years of direct behavioral health experience preferred.
• Strong Telephonic intervention and de-escalation skills; ability to assess risk over the phone.

Responsibilities

• Screen and assess helpline callers using established protocols.
• Provide telephonic intervention and de-escalation as needed.
• Ensure safety screenings and assess risk to individuals or others.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable regulations.
