Elevance Health seeks a Crisis & Referral Specialist to screen, assess, train and provide telephonic intervention/de-escalation for helpline callers using established protocols. In this role, you will determine immediate actions and coordinate with services to support individuals in crisis.

Candidates must have a HS diploma, with crisis or behavioral health experience; a BS/BA in a human services field is preferred.

Competenze

• HS diploma or equivalent with 1 year of behavioral health experience or 6 months of direct crisis experience to determine interventions.
• BS/BA in a mental health or human services field is strongly preferred with 2 years of direct experience.

Mansioni

• Takes inbound calls from individuals needing support, services, or who may be in crisis.
• Performs safety screenings and assessments to discern risk to safety of the individual or others.
• Uses caller information to understand needs and develop a plan of action with the individual.
• Completes timely, accurate documentation of interactions per established criteria.
• Provides linkage follow-up to ensure access to services.
• Coordinates with agencies and resources to optimize service delivery and supports.
