Job summary

Trimble Inc. is hiring a Business Development Representative to bridge marketing and sales and grow the North America pipeline for transportation technology solutions.

You will identify opportunities, conduct discovery calls, and collaborate with Marketing and Sales to push strategic outreach across industries. Remote work within the United States and occasional travel up to 20% are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales development or lead qualification is a plus.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, sales engagement platforms, or market analytics tools helps.
• Experience attending trade shows or industry conferences for networking and lead generation is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and nurture new sales opportunities through proactive inbound lead qualification and outbound prospecting.
• Conduct initial discovery calls and demonstrations to identify customer needs, qualify prospects, and seamlessly transition deals to sales representatives.
• Partner with Marketing and Sales to analyze market trends, craft messaging, and drive strategic outreach in key industry verticals.
• Engage regularly with global team members across international time zones to align on pipeline growth and cross-functional initiatives.
• Demonstrate strong motivation for starting or advancing a career in business development or software sales.
• Demonstrate adaptability and time-management skills to handle multiple outreach streams.
