Job summary

Trimble, in partnership with Transporeon, is seeking a Business Development Representative to bridge marketing and sales, identify new opportunities, and connect industry leaders with transportation tech solutions. Remote US location with 20% travel.

You will lead discovery calls, qualify prospects, and smoothly hand off to sales. Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to analyze trends, craft messaging, and drive strategic outreach across North America.

Qualifications

• Strong passion for starting or advancing a career in business development, software sales, or customer engagement.
• High self-motivation, adaptability, and time‑management skills to handle multiple outreach streams.
• Experience in sales development or lead qualification within SaaS or transportation logistics is a plus.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and nurture new sales opportunities through proactive inbound lead qualification and outbound prospecting.
• Conduct initial discovery calls and demonstrations to identify customer needs, qualify prospects, and seamlessly transition deals to sales representatives.
• Partner closely with Marketing and Sales to analyze market trends, craft compelling messaging, and drive strategic outreach in key industry verticals.
• Engage regularly with global team members across international time zones to align on pipeline growth and cross‑functional initiatives.
