Job summary

The RealReal is seeking a self-motivated Business Development Representative to qualify leads and hand them to the right sales channel for consignor signups in a fully remote US environment. You will nurture prospects, conduct outreach, and educate on the consignment process, brands accepted, and pricing expectations.

This role requires strong communication skills, weekend-day flexibility, and a drive to excel in a fast-paced sales setting.

• Strong customer service, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortability using software such as G-Suite, Email, SalesForce, CRM.

• Ability to commit to full-time hours (40 hours per week).
• Must be able to work one weekend day - Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for prospective clients interested in consigning at The RealReal.
• Qualify marketing generated leads through daily outreach, while fielding inbound inquiries.
• Pass qualified leads to appropriate sales channel to close into new consignment business.
• Nurture leads through ongoing follow-up via phone/text/email.
• Utilize internal tools and resources to educate leads on consignment process, brands accepted, pricing expectations and next steps.
