Job summary

Chainguard is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to drive prospecting and qualification in the security market. You will set appointments, build a healthy pipeline, and collaborate with sales to advance deals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
• 1–3 years in sales, lead generation, or business development within cloud native, cybersecurity, or devops.
• Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot or Salesforce) and other sales tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with prospects and clients.
• Ability to meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and identify potential clients in the security sales market using cold calls, emails, social reach, and events.
• Research prospects to identify security needs, pain points, and decision-makers.
• Generate a steady pipeline by meeting weekly/monthly targets.
• Qualify leads and match them with Chainguard security solutions.
• Schedule meetings and product demos for the sales team.
• Maintain CRM records of prospects, leads, and interactions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to position offerings.
