Job summary

Chainguard is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to prospect, qualify leads, and set appointments for the sales team. You will research prospects, tailor outreach to security needs, and help grow Chainguard’s revenue in a remote-first, high-growth environment.

The role emphasizes building relationships, meeting targets, and collaborating with marketing and product teams to refine messaging and offerings. Based in Singapore with flexible remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or business development in cloud native, cybersecurity, or devops.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport.
• Proficiency in using CRM systems (HubSpot CRM or Salesforce) and other sales tools.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and identify potential clients using cold calling, emailing, social media, and events.
• Research prospects to identify security needs and decision-makers.
• Generate a consistent pipeline by meeting weekly and monthly targets.
• Qualify leads by matching business requirements to Chainguard solutions.
• Schedule meetings and product demos for the sales team.
• Collaborate with sales to implement targeted strategies for industries/regions.
• Maintain accurate CRM records of prospects and interactions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings.
• Provide feedback to marketing/product to refine messaging and offerings.
