Defense Unicorns seeks a dynamic Business Development Representative with a Cyber Operations background to identify, nurture, and win new business in the defense sector. You will prospect, outreach, and build relationships while collaborating with BD, marketing, product, and finance to enter government markets.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in business development or sales within the defense tech industry.
• 7+ years of experience within the DoD as a Cyber or Intelligence practitioner.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of the defense tech industry, procurement processes, and key players.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting and Lead Generation: identify potential defense sector customers and maintain a robust pipeline.
• Customer Outreach: initiate contact via calls, emails, and social channels, understand needs.
• Relationship Building: build trust with decision-makers and stakeholders; follow-up with value.
• Product Knowledge: communicate features, benefits, and value propositions clearly.
• Collaboration: work with BD, marketing, product, and finance to enter government markets.
• Sales Process Management: manage from first contact to qualified opportunity; report progress.
• Market Intelligence: monitor industry trends and competition to refine sales strategies.
