Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting, LLC is seeking a Building Automation Systems Field Technician III in the IAD region to install BAS/HVAC controls, wire field devices, and support commissioning and handover of projects in data centers and critical facilities.

The role involves collaborating with engineers, vendors and client staff, coordinating with site teams, and ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery of tasks.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or Technical Certificate in Building Automation Systems, Mechanical/Electrical Technology.
• Two years of hands-on installation, testing, validation and troubleshooting of controls infrastructure.
• Minimum of two years additional experience with installation, testing and troubleshooting of controls infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Install BAS controllers and field devices.
• Support startup, commissioning and closeout of BAS/HVAC systems.
• Coordinate activities with subcontractors, vendors and construction trades under project leadership.
• Provide project updates and maintain documentation of progress and issues.
• Assist estimating and takeoffs for proposals and participate in bid walks.
