Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting is seeking a Building Automation Field Technician III to install BAS/HVAC controls, coordinate with subcontractors and guide startup and commissioning activities at multiple project sites across the United States. You will work with design engineers, vendors, and client staff to ensure proper operation and acceptance of automation systems.

Travel up to 75% is required; bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline plus hands‑on controls experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related discipline.
• Two years of hands‑on installation, testing, validation and troubleshooting of controls infrastructure are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and coordinate BAS/HVAC controls systems, monitor subcontractors, manage site logistics and start‑ups.
• Assist with startup, commissioning, testing and closeout of BAS/HVAC controls projects.
• Prepare project communications and reports, attend meetings and document progress.
• Complete tasks on time and within budget.
