Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting, LLC is hiring a Building Automation Systems Field Technician III in the Virginia/DC area. You will install BAS/HVAC controls, work with installers, support programmers and take on field responsibilities, resolving issues and communicating project progress.

You will collaborate with engineers, contractors and client staff to ensure proper operation, testing and acceptance of automated systems across industrial and mission critical environments.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or Technical Certificate in Building Automation Systems, Mechanical/Electrical Technology, or closely related field.
• Two years of hands-on experience with installation, testing, validation and troubleshooting of controls infrastructure.
• Minimum of two years of additional experience with installation, testing, validation and troubleshooting of controls infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Install BAS controllers and field devices and terminate low voltage cables.
• Support start‑up, commissioning, testing and closeout of BAS/HVAC systems.
• Coordinate activities with subcontractors, vendors and construction trades per project leadership.
