Job summary

SmartTech Contracting LLC in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Field Technician II for Building Automation to support install, startup and checkouts of BAS projects in industrial and data-center environments.

You will work under supervision with the install team, gaining hands-on experience in wiring BAS controllers, testing, commissioning and closeout, while developing MPOs and coordinating with project teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems and materials.
• Knowledge of controls wiring relay logic and associated materials.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Ability to communicate and work effectively in a remote environment with strong organization.

Responsibilities

• Observe and assist with installing and wiring BAS controllers and field devices.
• Assist in start-up and commissioning of BAS systems and related projects.
• Develop Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for site activities.
• Support QA/QC of BAS and integrated systems using software tools.
• Coordinate with project team and handle site logistics and closeout duties.
