Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting, LLC is hiring a Lead Field Technician – Building Automation for the IAD region. You will install BAS/HVAC controls, direct installers, and collaborate with programmers to keep clients informed on progress.

You will lead startup, commissioning, testing, QA, and closeout activities, ensuring safety and quality while coordinating with engineers, vendors, and site staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related discipline.
• Two years of hands-on installation, testing, validation and troubleshooting of controls infrastructure.
• Minimum of five years of additional experience with installation, testing, validation and troubleshooting of controls infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Install BAS/HVAC controllers and field devices.
• Direct and coordinate installation teams on-site.
• Support software lead with pre-functional and functional testing.
• Perform QA/QC of BAS and integrated systems.
• Communicate progress to clients, project managers and subcontractors.
• Develop and provide shop drawings updates and as-built documentation.
