Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting seeks a Building Automation Field Technician III to assist in installing and commissioning BAS/HVAC controls across multiple sites in the US. You will coordinate with installers, programmers and clients to ensure proper operation, testing and acceptance of systems.

You will work under guidance on routine projects and independently on larger tasks, traveling up to 75% to project locations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems and materials.
• Knowledge of controls wiring, relay logic, and associated materials.
• MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) proficiency.
• Ability to interpret AE construction drawings and BAS shop drawings.
• Ability to follow safety requirements and document processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, startup, and coordination of BAS/HVAC controls systems.
• Support project meetings and progression reporting.
• Troubleshoot BAS systems and support commissioning activities.
• Develop input for RFIs and methods of procedure (MOPs).
• Ensure customer acceptance and QA/QC of BAS and integrated systems.
