Affirm is seeking a Bank Controller to lead the accounting function during a growth phase. The role focuses on building a high-performing team, ensuring GAAP compliance, and delivering timely regulatory and financial reporting.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive automation, enhance controls, and provide strategic financial analysis while coordinating with external auditors and regulators.

Qualifications

• CPA or CA designation required.
• 10+ years in accounting/finance or treasury roles.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Experience building tools and processes to scale an accounting team.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting team and set strategic direction.
• Partner with cross-functional teams across the company.
• Oversee monthly financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure regulatory filings and external reporting compliance.
• Coordinate year-end audits with external auditors.
• Drive process automation in accounting and reporting.
• Manage financial analysis and ad hoc projects.
