Affirm is seeking a Bank Controller to lead the bank accounting function during a growth phase. You will guide the team, partner with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely monthly financial reporting and regulatory filings.

Qualifications

• Accounting designation such as CPA or CA is required.
• 10+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance or Treasury-related areas.
• Minimum 5 years of people management experience.
• Experience building tools/processes and scaling an Accounting team.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting.
• Proven analysis, cash management, and modeling experience.
• Detail oriented with a strategic, goal-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the bank accounting function.
• Recruit, develop, and coach the accounting team, setting strategic direction.
• Oversee monthly financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Build a controlled regulatory reporting function (e.g., FFIEC, Part 363, Fed reporting).
• Coordinate annual bank financial statement audit with external auditors.
• Collaborate with engineering/product to automate accounting/reporting processes.
• Manage financial analysis and special projects as needed.
