Speechify is seeking a backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust APIs, including public TTS API and internal services like Payments, Subscriptions, Auth, and Analytics. You will oversee the API landscape, optimize performance, and collaborate with enterprise teams to customize integrations.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience designing and maintaining public and internal APIs.
• Familiarity with GCP and other cloud providers (AWS/Azure).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API and internal APIs (Payments, Subscriptions, Auth, Analytics).
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on enterprise client integrations and customize B2B solutions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
