Speechify is seeking a backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs powering our TTS platform. You will own public and internal APIs (Payments, Subscriptions, Auth, Analytics) and shape API reliability, performance, and developer experience.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with TS/Node.
• Experience with cloud providers (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API and internal APIs (Payment, Subscription, Auth, Analytics).
• Oversee the full backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions and enterprise integration needs.
• Align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
