Job summary

Speechify is seeking a senior backend engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust APIs powering its text-to-speech products. You will work on public and internal APIs and help shape scalable backend systems in Speechify's fully distributed environment.

You’ll collaborate with product and frontend teams to deliver high-quality services, deploy on cloud platforms, and ensure reliable performance for enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with TS/Node (required).
• Experience with cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Experience with containerized deployments (Docker).
• Knowledge of deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API and internal APIs (Payment, Subscription, Auth, Consumption Tracking).
• Oversee the full backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions for enterprise clients and align backend with product strategy.
