Job summary

Speechify is seeking a senior backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust APIs, including the public TTS API, Payment, Subscription, Auth, and analytics interfaces, while ensuring scalability and reliability across the platform.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience, building high-availability services in a distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in backend development with TS/Node.
• Direct experience with cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Ability to ideate and implement with urgency and impact.
• Experience with containerized deployments (Docker).
• Experience deploying high-availability apps on Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking, ensuring they meet business and scalability requirements
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, enhancing and optimizing for performance and maintainability
• Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration needs for enterprise clients
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience
