Job summary

Speechify is seeking a backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API and internal services like Payment, Subscription, and Auth. You will oversee the full API landscape, optimize performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architecture with product strategy.

The ideal candidate has strong TS/Node experience, GCP with AWS/Azure knowledge, and familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for scalable deployments.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience using TS/Node.
• Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.
• Experience with containerized deployments using Docker.
• Proficiency deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking.
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions focusing on customization and integration for enterprise clients.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
