Motional is seeking a Remote Vehicle Assistance Agent to monitor and support autonomous vehicles, ensuring safe, efficient operation. You will interact with AV systems, diagnose issues, and collaborate with engineering to test new scenarios and tools.

The role emphasizes real-time guidance, cross-functional teamwork, and rigorous attention to safety as vehicles navigate complex environments on and off public roads.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in autonomous vehicle technology with emphasis on safety and mobility outcomes.
• Experience in autonomous vehicle operations, automotive, robotics, fleet operations, technical training, or related environments.
• Experience delivering instructor-led training or structured onboarding programs.
• Ability to diagnose across automotive systems, robotics platforms, and network infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of Linux-based systems and scripting for diagnostics or automation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools.
• Completion of role-based eLearning and certification content for supported vehicle platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Monitor AVs on closed courses and public roads.
• Assist AV decision-making with real-world events for safe travel paths.
• Monitor AV cameras and systems for proper functioning.
• Provide real-time support to AV for direction or safety.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams for testing and development.
• Resolve tickets and issues using various software and hardware tools.
• Document system issues and report to management promptly.
• Perform duties as assigned.
