Job summary

Motional AD Inc. is seeking a Remote Vehicle Assistance Agent to monitor live AV data and provide remote support to autonomous vehicles during operation.

You will interact with proprietary software and collaborate with engineering and design teams to resolve issues and improve performance. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and continuous improvement, with duties including real-time guidance, testing, and documentation of system status while supporting 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in autonomous vehicle technology with safety focus.
• Experience in AV operations, automotive, robotics, fleet ops or training.
• Experience delivering instructor-led training or onboarding programs.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot across automotive systems, robotics, hardware, software and networks.
• Working knowledge of Linux-based systems and scripting for diagnostics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Completion of role-based eLearning and certification content.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor AVs on closed courses and public roads.
• Assist AV decision-making with real-world events for safe travel.
• Monitor AV camera feeds and system functionality.
• Provide real-time support to AV for direction and safety.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams for testing.
• Interact with AV to resolve tickets via software and hardware.
• Document system issues and report to management promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
