Job summary

Upstart is hiring a Business Development Representative for Auto Retail. Based in Austin with remote options, you will drive revenue by prospecting dealerships, delivering personalized messages, and coordinating with account executives to align on target accounts.

Research dealerships, follow up on inbound leads, and update CRM while partnering with marketing and OEM teams. A Bachelor’s degree and 6+ months in SaaS B2B sales development with strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• 6+ months of Enterprise software / SaaS B2B sales development experience including cold calling and email outreach.
• Track record of growing sales pipeline with account-based approach.
• Strong communication, analytical, and listening skills with energetic phone presence.
• Positive work-ethic with ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Account research to identify key decision makers for tailored messaging.
• 1:1 sales prospecting with daily cold calls and emails to key personas.
• Inbound lead follow-up in partnership with marketing.
• Coordinate with account executives to align on target accounts and hand off leads.
• Structured lead management and weekly CRM data cleanup.
• Provide voice of the customer feedback to improve go-to-market strategy.
• Collaborate with Marketing and OEM teams on special projects.
