Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Remote Outside Auto Appraiser to inspect damaged vehicles, estimate repair costs and determine actual cash value to settle claims efficiently. You will support auto claim staff and coordinate with body shops to ensure quality repairs while delivering strong customer service from a remote work environment.

You will use industry-standard estimating software and Microsoft Office to produce accurate estimates, collaborate with vendors, and identify fraud indicators.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of auto physical damage appraisal experience or related field.
• Active adjuster license, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and appraise vehicle damage via on-site or virtual inspections.
• Review estimates and collaborate with repair facilities for accuracy.
• Determine actual cash value and settle total losses with stakeholders.
• Negotiate repair costs and settlements to reach timely resolutions.
• Explain appraisal process to customers and keep them informed throughout the claim lifecycle.
