Travelers is seeking an Outside Auto Appraiser to inspect damaged vehicles, estimate repairs, and determine actual cash value for settlements. This remote role serves insureds in a national scope, with work at residential or commercial locations and occasional office access.

Requires a bachelor's degree, an active adjuster license, and 2+ years of auto damage appraisal experience. You will use standard estimating software, collaborates with repair facilities, and provide customer-focused service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Active adjuster license, where applicable.
• Two years auto physical damage appraisal experience or equivalent.
• Proficient in claims management and estimating software.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of insurance principles and claim handling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess vehicle damage via on-site or virtual inspections.
• Review estimates and coordinate with repair facilities for accuracy.
• Prepare repair estimates using standard estimating software.
• Determine actual cash value (ACV) for total losses.
• Negotiate repair costs with body shops and claimants.
• Identify pre-existing damage and potential fraud indicators.
• Coordinate repairs with claims staff, shops, and vendors.
• Explain the appraisal process to customers and keep them informed.
