Job summary

Fortra is seeking an Associate Solutions Engineer to join our Sales team. You will partner with sales reps to deliver pre-sales demonstrations, understand customer requirements, and craft tailored proposals that showcase product value.

You’ll contribute to webinars, events, and marketing initiatives while building trusted relationships with clients across multiple industries and supporting business growth. This role blends technical depth with strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical or business field.
• Experience in a technical, customer-facing, software, or solutions-focused environment.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new products and technologies.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate across teams, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales representatives and collaborate on activities with prospective customers.
• Conduct pain-discovery processes to understand customer needs and articulate solutions that best address those needs.
• Develop, present, and deliver high-impact product demonstrations.
• Own the customer evaluation process for proposed products and solutions, including executing trials and proofs of concept.
• Identify technical and functional objections during the sales process, develop creative solutions, and collaborate with appropriate teams on remediation.
• Build and present customer proposals, articulating the benefits of our company and demonstrating how our solutions address customer needs at all levels, including C-level executives.
