Job summary

Fortra seeks an Associate Solutions Engineer to join our Sales team. You will work closely with prospects to understand technical and business requirements and demonstrate product capabilities through tailored proposals and high-impact product demonstrations.

You will contribute to marketing initiatives such as webinars, tradeshows, and content development, while building trusted client relationships and supporting business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business or related field preferred
• Technical, customer-facing software or solutions environment experience preferred
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new products quickly
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales reps and collaborate on activities with prospective customers
• Conduct pain-discovery to understand customer needs and articulate solutions
• Develop, present and deliver high-impact product demonstrations
• Own the customer evaluation process, including trials and proofs of concept
• Identify objections and craft creative solutions with cross-team remediation
• Build and present customer proposals highlighting benefits and ROI
• Estimate professional services effort and develop project plans as needed
• Maintain knowledge of portfolio to identify cross-selling opportunities
• Represent the company at industry events and webinars
